Bybit hackers resume laundering activities, moving another 62,200 ETH
The Lazarus group of North Korea bleached 62,200 others, worth 138 million dollars, from the piracy of February 21 on March 1 – leaving only 156,500 to move, noted a pseudonym cryptography analyst.
About 343,000 ether (ETH) of 499,000 ether stolen in the hack of $ 1 billion in balance sheets have been moved, said that the user X Embercn, which expects the remaining funds to be erased over the next three days.
The 343,000 Ether Move is equivalent to 68.7% of stolen funds – up 54% on February 28.
Embercn previously noted that laundering activities had slowed down in the efforts of the Federal Bureau of Investigation of the United States, calling node operators, crypto exchanges, bridges and others to block transactions related to appeal pirates.

The FBI shared 51 Ethereum addresses exploited or linked to the Pirates of Bordeaux, while the Elliptic blockchain analysis company reported more than 11,000 cryptographic portfolio addresses possibly linked to them.
The crypto-criminalized criminalist company said that the pirates had converted parts of the stolen bitcoin ether (BTC), the DAI (DAI) shield and other assets via decentralized exchanges, cross bridges and instant exchange services without knowing your customer protocols.
One of these protocols includes the crosschain Thorchain crosschain discount protocol. The developers behind the protocol received strong criticisms for facing a large share of illicit transfers made by the North Korean pirates.
One of Thorchain’s developers, known as “Pluto”, said they would no longer contribute to the protocol after a vote to block transactions related to North Korean pirates.

In a note at Cointelegraph, the founder of Thorchain, John-Paul Thorbjornsen, said that he no longer had any involvement with the crosschain protocol, while stressing that none of the sanctioned cryptographic wallet addresses listed by the FBI and the Foreign Active Control Office interrupted with the protocol.
The hacking of $ 1.4 billion on February 21 was by far the greatest feat in cryptographic industry – more than doubled the hacking of $ 650 million Ronin Bridge on March 23, 2022.
