The activity of artificial intelligence on blockchains has almost doubled since the beginning of the year, with more funding and users who accumulate in trendy technology, according to the Dappradar blockchain analysis platform.
ONCHAIN’s activity linked to AI has increased by 86% so far in 2025, with approximately 4.5 million unique active portfolios per day participating in decentralized AI (DAPP) applications, Dappradar said in a report on Thursday.

The increase in daily users increased the market share of AI applications from 9%at the start of the year to 19%, just behind the 20%blockchain games.
Dappradar’s analyst Sara Gherghelas said that AI growth is not “just about media threshing” but reflects a “structural change” in the way users engage with decentralized applications.
“Whether through Copilotes DEFI, social agents or autonomous game assistants, AI agents become a new layer of ONCHAIN interface.”
DAPPRADAR predicted in May that the use of AI agents, programs that can independently perform blockchain actions such as trading, would soon exceed games – which has traditionally dominated the DAPP ecosystem.
IA agent financing more than 9%
The Gherghelas report said that, so far, in 2025, $ 1.39 billion had been collected by AI agent projects, which represents an increase of 9.4% compared to 2024.
She added that even if this issue is still in relation to the financing of AI to companies like OpenAi, it “is worth noting that the financing in the space of the agent of AI now competes or exceeds other web verticals as the blockchain games.”
“In web3, investors are increasingly considering AI agents as a new primitive, which could reshape the way users interact with protocols, sail on DAPPs or even automate personal financial strategies,” she said.

Gherghelas said 2025 could be the first year that AI agents attract more capital than “any other vertical web”.
AI users are developing worldwide
Dappradar data recorded between January and June revealed that most users of DAPP IA that they could locate are based in Europe, representing 26% of all interactions.
The largest share of users, at 33%, comes from unpertured regions and users who have VPNs or other anonymized sources. Asia was close to Europe with just under 22% of users, while North America followed with 15.8%.
Gherghelas said world spread shows that “AI agents are not a localized phenomenon”.
