Hackers Shift from Windows to Mac in New Apple ID Phishing Scam

The hackers design false sites that appear as Apple Security Note, deceiving users in entering their connection information. After being stolen, this information can be used to access iCloud accounts, including documents, images and backups. The attackers are also trying to “catch up with identification information”, which means that stolen passwords are used for several services to obtain unauthorized access.
The cybersecurity expert Eyal Arazi warns that such a can cause identity theft and large -scale financial scams. “Access to an Apple ID can compromise sensitive user information and even other connected accounts,” he added.
