At Least 27 Palestinians Killed Near Gaza Aid Hub

At least 27 Palestinians were killed on Tuesday by Israeli fires when they were trying to receive aid near a distribution center in Rafah, according to the Gaza Ministry of Health and witnesses.
He marks the mortal third Incident in three days around the Rafah Aid Hub managed by Gaza Humanitarian Fund (GHF), a controversial group supported by the United States and the United States which was created last month to replace the United Nations agencies and other aid organizations.
Israeli defense forces said in a statement on X that it was “aware of the victims, and the details of the incident were examined”.
“The troops have identified several suspects moving towards them, deviating from the designated roads. The troops made warning fires, and after the suspects do not withdraw, additional shots were directed near individual suspects,” the statement added.
The UN and other aid agencies have castigated the new aid distribution system, saying that it does not deal with the milling crisis in Gaza and allows Israel to use aid as a weapon.
“The Palestinians were presented the most stimulating choices: die of famine or risk of killing while trying to access the meager food which is made available through a militarized humanitarian assistance mechanism of Israel,” said the head of human rights of the UN Volker Türk on Tuesday.
Türk called for a “quick and impartial investigation”. “The attacks against civilians constitute a serious violation of international law and a war crime,” he added.
Israel said the new aid system allowed him to prevent Hamas from flying Help, but has provided no evidence of a systemic supplies.
GHF chief Jake Wood resigned on May 25, saying that he would not be able to work in a way that met “humanitarian principles”. The GHF began its operations the next day.
On May 27, at least one Palestinian was killed and 48 injured while desperate crowds rushed to perceive aid to the new GHF center in Rafah, according to the Gaza Ministry of Health and witnesses.
On Sunday, June 1, at least 31 Palestinians were killed and more than 170 injured near the GHF distribution site in Rafah, the Gaza Ministry of Health said. The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) said in a statement that his Rafah field hospital had received an “influx of mass victims” and that the majority had suffered bursts of shells and shots.
“Again, desperate hungry civilians are killed and injured while trying to help. He should be delivered to them safely and with dignity,” said ICRC spokesperson Hisham Mhanna, in an article on X.
The FDI declared in a declaration of June 1 on X that it “had not shot civilians when they were close or on the humanitarian aid distribution site and that the reports for this purpose are false.”
On Monday, June 2, at least three Palestinians were killed by an Israeli fire near a GHF aid center in Rafah, according to the Gaza Ministry of Health. The FDIs said in a statement that “warning blows were drawn to several suspects which advanced towards” troops of approximately 0.6 mi. of the site.
The new GHF aid distribution system follows a blockade of two months of Israel, in which essential foods and medical supplies have decreased, aggravating the humanitarian crisis in Gaza. Food security experts warned against a “critical risk of famine”.
The new aid distribution model comes after the office of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said in a statement on May 18 that Israel was breastfeeding the blockade and would let in a “basic” quantity of food in Gaza. The comments occurred a few hours after Israel launched a large offensive on the ground.
