The United States continues to dominate AI progress. In 2024, American laboratories built around 40 basic AI models, more than any other nation. The United States always attracts the most private investment, allowing startups and large technology companies to build sophisticated AI systems and tools.
American companies are particularly capable of translating research into commercial applications. AI is already used in health care, manufacturing, transport, etc. in the United States. Large companies collaborate with startups and laboratories to accelerate the time to market new technologies.
Some experts from the American industry believe that the country must double on AI infrastructure to keep an advance. They fear that if the United States will not build new factories, data centers and clean energy systems, this could late in the long term. Nevertheless, the United States remains ahead of Europe and China in terms of innovation and deployment of AI.
