In mid-2025, Bitcoin continues to be the most used cryptocurrency for payments. TETHER (USDT) follows with 33%, Ethereum holds approximately 11.5%and the USD part (USDC) has around 7.6%. These four pieces constitute the majority of cryptographic transactions because they are widely accepted and considered stable.
There is a clear change towards payments on the chain. Chain payments occur directly on the blockchain and offer more transparency. These increase to more than 28% each year. However, out -of -chain payments, used in daily applications and wallets, also develop quickly, especially for consumer -oriented transactions.
North America remains the largest market of cryptographic payments, but Asia, in particular India, notes faster growth due to clear regulations and the increase in consumer interest.
