The second expansion for Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord, Royal Reign, was announced in 2025. Royal Reign intends to enrich the extremely epic large battles and empire management by adding new factions, diplomacy mechanics, and battle formations. Bannerlord remains the gold standard for those that enjoy leading men, making alliances, and building up medieval dynasties.
