What we learn about Ludovico Terzani
Ludovico Terzani, a respected city doctor, was officially appointed manager of the traffic accident in which Giorgio died. Police ranked the case as an accident, but Sara refused to accept this version. Little by little, thanks to investigations and cross information, Sara discovered that Ludovico was involved in a complex personal plot: he had an extramarital affair with Silvia Prati, a woman who had been the Giorgio lover. The relationship between Ludovico and Silvia sparked deadly resentment – Fulovico feared that Giorgio could exhibit the case and ruin his reputation.
In the very first episode, Sara obtains evidence proving that the death of Giorgio out of flight was not an accident, but a premeditated act of Ludovico, who used his influence to try to cover it. However, lacking sufficient legal evidence to officially invoice it and the police covering the case, Sara takes up justice in hand.
Throughout the series, it becomes clear that corruption and collusion between police authorities and influential figures prevent the revelation of the truth. Ludovico has powerful contacts and was able to handle the investigation to make it look like an accident. Giorgio’s death was used to protect greater interests, such as contracts and political relations between influential families in the city.
Sara’s revenge
In the last episode, Sara faces Ludovico. With the same coldness with which he took her son, Sara promulgates her revenge and kills him, ensuring that he pays the crime he has committed. This act transforms Sara into a vigilant – a woman who breaks down corrupt laws and a broken system to request justice according to her own conditions.
Sara is not the only character in the series who embodies resistance in a world that still denies her justice. Sara’s friend of her secret agent days, Teresa, also takes matters into his own hands after also losing a loved one in a corrupt system. Teresa’s husband, Sergio, was assassinated by the vigilant of Enrico gangster – some authorities have ceased to try to find because of the internal policy.
From this pain, the two women have chosen to act alone, outside the law, becoming implacable Avengers. Teresa does not hesitate to bring the final blow to the vigilante, while Sara uses her intelligence and skills to exhibit the dirty game behind the murder of her son.
