Nintendo Switch 2 was published on June 5. After the success of eight years, finally, Nintendo Switch finally received its worthy successor with improved internal components and features such as GameChat and mouse functionality on its joy-con controllers. In one month, this hybrid console would have broken the sales records with more than 5 million sales of Switch 2 units.
Earlier this week, it was presented on the Nintendo investors’ relationship page, and several websites have highlighted this part. However, the latest reports indicate that this sales figure is not correct and was mistakenly shared by the game company.
Nintendo made this error and the website report. According to some experts and analysts, it was a premature sales file that was not for the public. They estimated: “It seems that Nintendo has published an update of sales for the Nintendo Switch 2 on its website of relations with investors early by accident.” According to them, the console sold more than 5 million units worldwide on June 30, 2025.
