CoinGecko Conduct Survey on AI and Proof of Personhood

Coingecko conducted a recent investigation into the opinions of AI users, in particular focused on the proof of personality (POP). The overwhelming majority of users want to distinguish humans from AI and are open to the adoption of pop.

The proof of personality (POP) is a mechanism designed to verify that a user is a unique human being – not a bot, not an AI and not a double identity. Many users believe that it is increasingly critical as generative AI and autonomous agents proliferate on digital platforms.

Is personality the next great trend of AI?

AI projects have had a decrease in popularity in recent months, largely due to macroeconomic factors and other stories overlooking the web3 space. However, the development of AI agents remains strong.

AI agents are now very integrated into the crypto twitter and social media. They drive conversations, change their story and even create a dialogue. Thus, the concept of personality has become a critical discussion among the cryptographic community.

More recently, Coingecko conducted an investigation into AI -related opinions and identifying personality.

Coingecko data show that most AI users firmly believe that it is important to know if they interact with a human. Almost half of respondents think that this task is “very important” and 92% think that it is at least somewhat important.

This can help explain why the proof of personality (POP), a concept launched by Worldcoin by Sam Altman, has remained a lasting idea in AI space.

What is the problem, then? Although this survey shows that AI users wish to identify the personality, this does not mean that everyone is willing to adopt pop methods as currently designed or understood.

Almost half of the users were arranged or somewhat arranged to try them, but it was a much smaller margin than the other question.

In addition, the survey has determined that only 30.3% of respondents think that it is very important to distinguish humans from AI and is also willing to adopt evidence of personality methods.

On the other hand, 18.3% thought that the identification of humans was important but was neutral or actively opposed to pop.

The investigation apparently did not describe specific pop protocols from a single project. POP generally involves the use of non -traditional forms of verification, such as biometric data, social media profiles or other methods that are difficult to simulate or reproduce, but there is no industry standard yet.

Since another Coingecko survey has identified a drop in interest in AI investment, this survey difference could present a problem. AI users are mainly unified as to the problem, but the solutions offered are much more controversial.

A heavy approach to the question of personality could remove users from AI. It is far from ideal on the current market.

However, it is important not to overestimate the level of controversy. Although less than half of AI users wish to adopt personality evidence, the pool of hostile respondents was relatively low.

There are a large number of ambivalent people, and they can respond to new protocols, marketing campaigns or other incentives.

Overall, it is obvious that pop is becoming a key discussion point in the web community. As autonomous agents benefit from an influence, pop could serve as a firewall between digital manipulation and real participation.
