Alongside the certification, the game’s Creative Director Hugo Martin disclosed the motive for doing so. Martin revealed why the team believes the game will be superior for not supporting the multiplayer function.
According to the reports, Martin confessed that keeping the game away from the multiplayer mode was already a clear-cut goal. In the interview, the director said that the team decided to focus on developing the best campaign ever.
While revealing Doom Dark Ages Excludes the Multiplayer Option, he explained the team’s intentions for Doom: Eternal. Martin served as an example of Eternal, mentioning that they wanted to incorporate mechs in the game.
Additionally, the Doom Dark Ages trailers solidified that the game would finally feature the playable mechs. The inclusion of these mechs will allow players to sprint vehicles which were wrecks in the Eternal.
