Department of Health and Human Services Will Cut 10,000 Jobs

WASHINGTON-The American Ministry of Health and Social Services will eliminate 10,000 jobs as part of a major restructuring plan, he announced on Thursday.
Overall, the agency, which is responsible for monitoring infectious diseases, food and hospitals inspection and the supervision of health insurance programs for almost half of the country, indicates that it will reduce its workforce from 82,000 to 62,000 jobs. This includes 10,000 layoffs as well as 10,000 other workers who have early retirement or buyout offers that have been offered to almost all federal employees by the Trump administration.
Most cuts will come from public health agencies: Food and Drug Administration, responsible for establishing standards for American food and medicines, will allow 3,500 workers, while Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, which follows the infectious epidemics of diseases, will reduce 2,400 positions.
Meanwhile, the National Institutes for Health, the main global public health research agency, will lose 1,200 people. The centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, which oversee the health coverage of older and poor Americans, will allow 300 jobs.
