Elon Musk’s Starbase City in Texas: Location and Population

A Vote in southern Texas by those who live at the base of the Société Spacex d’Elon Musk have made the most recent city of Texas work, Starbase.

Musk, the CEO of SpaceX and the leader of the Government Ministry of Efficiency (DOGE), posted late on May 3, after the vote, that Starbase, Texas “is now a real city!” As for the next steps, a judge will have to assign an order declaring the results of the elections and the official incorporation of the new city.

Musk – who has received an intense reaction in recent months when he leads Doge to direct massive budget cuts and layoffs in the federal government – had proposed to make the city of Starbase in March 2021 on X. A little over four years later, Musk’s dream is now a reality.

Starbase is the headquarters and the launch site of the SpaceX Rocket program, which is under contract with the Ministry of Defense (DOD) and NASA, working as a launch site supplier for the government. The Musk company launched the development of the site in 2014.

The city only represents about a square and a half square and a total of 218 people participated in the vote, according to data from the County Department of Cameron, Texas. 212 voted in favor of the base of the base of the base of the base, while six voted against.

A local analysis of Texas Newsroom, published before the vote, showed that two thirds of eligible voters, including 283 – worked for SpaceX, had already indicated their support. Meanwhile, the three candidates who showed up for the mayor and two commissioner stations also work for SpaceX, according to Texas Tribune.

The newly crowned city is located in Boca Chica, Texas, near Brownsville, on the southern tip of the Côte du Gulf du Texas in the Rio Grande Valley. Its population is currently on just over 500 people – largely SpaceX and family members, according to Bloomberg.

“Becoming a city will help us to continue to build the best possible community for men and women who build the future of the place of humanity in space,” read an article on the “Starbasetx” social media account, which was created on the Musk X platform, shortly after the vote.
