In Cyprus, prime broker EXANTE has appointed SergeiSolomatin as Director of IT Operations, continuing its push to strengthen itstechnology framework.
Solomatin brings more than 20 years of IT experience fromRussian financial institutions, including FINAM, Home Credit and Finance Bank,and Svyaznoy Bank, where he oversaw major technology upgrades.

N26 CEO Valentin Stalf to step aside
N26 co-founder Valentin Stalf will step down as CEO and move to the digital bank’s supervisory board. Hisdeparture comes as Germany’s financial regulator BaFin raises fresh concernsabout the company, including the possibility of new sanctions.
Stalf and co-founder Max Tayenthal, who jointly hold around 20% of the bank, are also considering giving up specialvoting rights.

Former Trump crypto adviser joins Tether
In the crypto space, Tether Holdings SA has named Bo Hines, former head ofPresident Donald Trump’s digital assets advisory council, as a strategicadvisor to support its U.S. expansion.
Hines stepped down from the White House Presidential Councilof Advisers for Digital Assets earlier this month. He reportedly organized the Trump administration’s first crypto summit and was involved inadvancing the Genius Act.

GCEX hires Kevin Gillespie
Digital asset trading platform GCEX has appointed KevinGillespie, a financial markets professional with 35 years of experience, tolead its sales and business development efforts across the UK and EMEA.
Gillespie joins GCEX from Laser Digital, a subsidiary ofNomura Group, where he was responsible for digital asset and FX sales toinstitutional clients.

Pepperstone has a new COO and CCO
Lastly, Pepperstone, the Australia-based forex and CFDs broker, haspromoted Tom Williams to Chief Operating Officer. At the same time, Rob Bowenstepped down as Group COO to take on the role of Chief Commercial Officer.
Bowen, who has also served as Chief Executive ofPepperstone’s UK entity for more than six years, held the Group COO positionfor over five years.
