TCS Hikes Salaries for 80% Staff Amid 12,000 Layoffs in Restructuring Drive

Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) announced on Wednesday that it will implement salary increases of 80% of its staff. The largest IT services company in India increases mainly junior employees and intermediate levels.
While many companies in the industry use large -scale job cuts due to American tariff impacts and AI, this action seems to be an effort to keep precious talents and improve morale at the lower levels of the organization.
In a letter to the scale of the company distributed by the director of human resources Milind Lakkad and the designation Chro K Sudeep, TCS announced that will be applicable from September 1, 2025.
“We are pleased to announce a remuneration revision for all the associates eligible in the notes to C3A and equivalent, including 80% of our population,” said the mail. The size of the increases has not been revealed.
