Samsung Wallet continued to add features, users being able to maintain boarding passes and identifiers in addition to payment cards. However, its most basic functionality, Tap-to-Pay, is always a frustration. Place the NFC antenna under the rear camera, which means that the user must position this specific point on a payment terminal. The results include failed taps, odd positioning and non-compliance with transactions.
Apple Pay has long provided a more fluid experience, with an NFC installation which does not require such precision. This difference in use has made the Samsung clumsy portfolio compared to people who use their phone for everyday purchases.
