GOP-Led House Panel Subpoenas Epstein Files and Testimony From Clintons

On Tuesday, the house’s supervisory committee les Republicans assigned the Ministry of Justice on Tuesday for files related to the sex offender sentenced to the end Jeffrey Epstein, despite the resistance of the management of the Chamber’s GOP and increasing discomfort within the Trump administration on the political and legal implications of such disclosure.

The assignment calls on the Ministry of Justice to hand over all the investigation documents linked to the Epstein sex traffic operation, with the identities of the victims.

The Committee also published a wide range of quotes to appear for testimonies of deposits of high -level personalities in democratic and republican administrations – for example the former president Bill Clinton, the former secretary of state Hillary Clinton, the former administrators of the FBI James Comey and Robert Mueller, and six former American lawyers General, in particular Merrick Garland and William Barr.

The last activity of the Committee follows the leaders of the Ministry of Justice interviewing the former Partner of Epstein Ghislaine Maxwell, then Maxwell was transferred to a minimum security establishment in Texas.

“While the ministry undertakes efforts to discover and publicly disclose additional information concerning the cases of Mr. Epstein and Ms. Maxwell, it is imperative that the congress puts laws by the federal government of the laws on sexual traffic and specifically its treatment of the delivery of the projection and the prosecution of Mr. Epstein and Ms. Maxwell,” James Commer, Overig wrote in a subpoena for a Bondy.

The assignments to appear intervene almost two weeks after one of the sub-committees of the panel voted to oblige the Ministry of Justice to publish the files, just before the departure of the house for its summer recess. The president of the room, Mike Johnson, publicly resisted the effort, arguing that the administration needs “place to act” before the intervention of the congress.

But the committee’s decision to ensure the Ministry of Justice shows that the interest in Epstein files remains high among the Republicans, even though President Donald Trump has tried repeatedly to go beyond the Decision of the Ministry of Justice not to disclose complete accounts of the investigation. A July Memo of the Ministry of Justice said that Epstein had died by suicide and that no “customer list” of the attackers had been recovered – a conclusion that has only alled suspicion among the conservatives and the Democrats anxious with the conspiracy and the Democrats.

The Democrats first pushed to assign the Ministry of Justice for its files on Epstein and were joined by three Republicans to initiate the assignment in July.

The Ministry of Justice will have until August 19 to hand over the requested files. The Committee also requests that former government representatives provide depositions between August and October, ending with Hillary Clinton on October 9 and Bill Clinton on October 14.

While the former presidents have often been assigned to appear, none has ever appeared before the under duress legislators.

The association of Clinton with Epstein has been known for years and has included trips on his plane after his departure, according to the judicial archives. Wall Street Newspaper Last month, a book assembled for the 50th anniversary of Epstein in 2003 included a message from Clinton, as well as Trump and others. Clinton and Trump were listed as “friends” in the book. Trump denied having written the letter and continued to Wall Street Newspaper.

A spokesperson for Clinton said in 2019 that he had cut bonds with Epstein before his arrest in 2019 and was not aware of the alleged crimes of Epstein.
