Harvard Endowment Invests $116M Into BlackRock Bitcoin ETF
Harvard Management Company, the entity responsible for managing the university’s $ 53 billion endowment fund, said a several million dollars investment in the BlackRock (ETF) Bitcoin Fund.
In a Friday file with the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), Harvard revealed by holding around 1.9 million shares from Ishares Bitcoin ETF (BTC) on June 30. The BTC Exposure was estimated at more than $ 116 million, making it the fifth investment of the fund for the Microsoft period, Amazon, travel technology and meta meta.

SEC Approval of the University’s adoption
The SEC approved the registration and trading of the BlackRock BTC ETF and 10 other funds in January 2024. The fund grew up for more than $ 86 billion in net assets on Thursday, according to BlackRock data.
