BlockDAG’s system combines a Directed Acyclic Graph (DAG) structure with Proof-of-Work (PoW). The DAG component handles transaction throughput more efficiently, while PoW keeps the network decentralized and Sybil-resistant. This setup allows for 2,000 to 15,000 TPS, far higher than Bitcoin or Ethereum.
Although mobile users don’t provide hashpower, they help spread awareness, onboard users, and manage token distribution. On the other hand, ASIC miners will be key to validating blocks and securing the network once the mainnet is live.
This combined approach is unusual. Most crypto networks choose either ease of access (through PoS) or strong security (through PoW). BlockDAG’s method offers both, enabling wider participation while maintaining robust technical performance.
This mining system is part of a broader strategy. The project has already raised $360 million, sold over 24.6 billion BDAG coins, and launched a Demo Trading Platform where users can simulate coin purchases and sales in real time.
