Microsoft has signed a 12 -year agreement with American startups in depth to buy and cover 4.9 million metric tonnes of organic waste. Is worth $ 1.7 billion, the transaction is designed to remedy the increasing carbon footprint associated with the growing artificial intelligence activity.
Waste consists of human wastewater, manure, paper sludge, food waste and other carbon-rich by-products. None of these materials will be recycled.
