It has been almost a year since one of the greatest cryptographic debacles in India left blind users. The hazirx hacking of 2,000 crores the ecosystem, but the silence of its founder, Nischal Shetty, was stronger than any response. Now, a new turn has revived the indignation of the public, a secret transfer of property rights after the violation.
The quiet outing that no one saw coming
New revelations show that on August 13, 2024, just a few weeks after the massive hack, Nischal Shetty transferred the property to 100% of Shinjuku FZC LLC, a company linked to Wazirx registered with water, to his wife, Moujhari Guha. There was no public announcement, no update of users and no words to regulators. Shetty reduced its participation to 0.00%, while while users were still struggling with the loss of their funds.
The transfer was discreetly deposited and published in the Gulf Time on August 14, just a day after the change of property. This decision occurred at the very moment when users were desperate of leadership, responses and comfort, and instead, their founder signed and moved away.
The Singapore court exhibits more lies
Adding fuel to the fire, a Singapore court has now confirmed that Zettai Pte. Ltd., the Singapore arm of Wazirx, held user assets, contradicting the longtime claim of Wazirx according to which he had never had a guard. The decision of judge Kristy Tan said that the platform had misleaded users and deliberately delayed transparency during the crisis.
While users wait, Nischal continues
While user funds remain locked without resolution in view, Nischal Shetty lives in Dubai, intact by investigation and actively works on his new business, Shardum.
Launched in April, Shardum promised low gas and evolutionary intelligent contracts, but has since crushed almost 77% compared to its peak, triggering a new reaction. Despite the collaboration with Mexc and the promotion of a “SHM Party” campaign, he did not offer any responsibility for the Mess Wazirx.
Without answers, without reimbursement and no justice, the patience of the community is thinning because each new detail only confirms that the managers have already evolved.
