‘I Know What You Did Last Summer’ Ending, Explained

Warning: This message contains spoilers for I know what you did last summer.

In the idyllic seaside city of Southport, NC, young people are subject to serious errors in the night judgment of July 4 which cause horrible accidents. At least, that’s what the I know what you did last summer The franchise would make you believe.

Almost 30 years later by the original in 1997, a new I know what you did last summer of the writer-director Jennifer Kaytin Robinson (Take revenge on,, Someone great) and the co-series Sam Lansky (a contributor in time and author of The golden razor And Broken) Presents a whole new group of friends – Ava (Chase Su Wonders), Danica (Madelyn Cline), Milo (Jonah Hauer -King), Teddy (Tyriq Withers) and Stevie (Sarah Pidgeon) – that the concealment of their involvement in an incident of Fisherman, which arises by another. The following year, once the friends were now back in Southport, Danica receives a mysterious reading note: “I know what you did last summer”, and the violence begins. After having realized that their friends and relatives are brutally murdered by a hook fisherman and Speargun in a scheme which reflects a madness of local murder of 1997, friends turn to the survivors of these long -standing attacks, the former couple Julie James (Jennifer Love Hewitt) and Ray Bronson (Freddie Prinze Jr.), to help Sarah Michelle Gellar also resumes her assassinated competition role, Queen Helen Shivers in a dream sequence in which she seems to be in Danica to warn her of the consequences of her misdeeds and friends.

In the wake of the fiancé of Danica Wyatt (Joshua Orpin), of the Tyler (Gabbriette), the off-putting Judah (Austin Nichols), Teddy, Grant and Milo, all brutally killed by the Fisherman, and Stevie, for having fled in the boat of Teddy. However, unfortunately for Ava and Danica, it turns out that their old friend Stevie may have kept them some secrets.

After Ray’s arrival on a small boat and Stevie dagger Danica, dropping her over board, Ray ends up shooting Stevie to stop him and she also falls into the ocean. Ray then brought down in his bar, where he prepares the scene for his own big revelation. It turns out that this time, there were two fishermen who committed the murders-and Ray himself, the boss and mentor of Stevie, was one of them. Traumatizing Ray was conducted in Talon by the fact that the powers of Southport were trying to erase the violent history of the city in order to make it a more attractive vacation destination. Ray asked Ava if he even fired on Stevie and the dagger too. But, fortunately, Julie gathered the pieces of the puzzle and presents herself over time. When Ray attacks Julie, Ava shoots him in the back with his speargun, killing him.

In the last minutes of the film, Advs finds Danica, who ended up washing on the living beach, and both discuss the fact that Stevie apparently also survived her fall in the ocean, apparently leaving the door open for another episode.
