Crypto startups no longer welcome in Nvidia’s accelerator program

The Accelerator program of Nvidia seems to bypass digital asset startups, with its aid section listing the companies focused on crypto as inadmissible to join the global network of founders of the technology giant.

According to the program’s website, cryptographic companies and four other types of companies are excluded from participation in the creation of NVIDIA: outsourced development and development companies, cloud service providers, resellers and distributors and companies that are already public.

This decision indicates a change in Nvidia’s policy concerning cryptographic startups in its accelerator program. For example, in 2018, the company accepted Ubex – a startup combining blockchain and AI for digital advertising – in its creation program.

A spokesperson for Nvidia refused to comment on the eligibility policy. The creation program is designed for companies under 10 years of age at all stages of funding.

NVIDIA is best known for its semiconductors, who play a crucial role in feeding micropuits for data centers. This same treatment power has also made the material of Nvidia popular among cryptographic minors, the company having already explored use cases linked to the crypto for its products.

Nvidia and the American-chinoise race Ai

NVIDIA is one of the most precious companies in the world in terms of market capitalization and a key player in the global breed of artificial intelligence.

The company presented its h20 chip in 2024, designed to comply with the American export restrictions imposed during the Biden administration aimed at limiting the access of China to the advanced IA equipment.

Although they are less powerful than high -level chips of Nvidia, H20 chips could always allow significant progress in China. In response, the Trump administration has imposed stricter export controls to require special licenses for H20 exports to China – a decision that could have an impact on NVIDIA sales.

According to the BBC, China represented 13% of NVIDIA sales in 2024. The company provides for a turnover of $ 5.5 billion linked to American export restrictions.
