Is the Ripple vs. SEC Case Being Delayed Till 2026?

A new rumor has toured social networks on the Ripple VS dry trial perhaps drawn until the end of 2026. It all started when a user named Altcoin Bale Posted on X (formerly Twitter), saying:

“Breaking: the final DR XRP final decision could be delayed until the end of 2026”

The post quickly attracted attention, but many supporters of XRP in the comments section did not agree, the deceptive caller.

So what is the truth?

Here is what is really going on:
As part of the current affair, Ripple and the American SEC recently asked the court to keep the process of waiting for the moment. The SEC was invited to submit an update of the status by August 15, 2025 – but that does not mean that the final decision will take until 2026.

Ripple also filed an additional letter supporting a legal request called a Motion for an indicative decision. However, the legal expert Marc Fagel said that this last letter really adds anything new. He said he seems that Ripple just wanted to reassure his supporters after some people on Crypto Twitter expressed doubts.

Fagel added that the forecast of the next movement of the judge is difficult because this situation is quite unique. If the judge rejects the request, Ripple will have to decide if he wants to continue his call or settle.

Legal expert Bill Morgan also weighed and described it as a “improbable result”. He said: “It is not on the cards, unless the Judge Torres settles the last joint request and rather which makes the joint decision to live with the decision to judge summary and the current sanction and the permanent injunction, the regulation process is completely broken down and the two parties execute their calls.”

Conclusion:

No official information suggests that the Ripple vs dry case will be delayed until 2026. To date, the next update is expected by August 2025, and the final result could happen earlier.
