photography continues to be the pillar of Pixel heritage, and the 9A improves upon this tradition with a new camera system. The main sensor from the Pixel 8A’s 64MP falls to a 48MP GN8 Quad Dual Pixel lens, identical to that of the Pixel 9 Pro Fold hardware.
Even without as many megapixels, the f/1.7 aperture, wider than the 8A’s f/1.9, allows more light in, which should produce sharper low-light images and deeper detail. The 13MP ultrawide and 13MP front cameras remain the same, with a 120-degree field of view and f/2.2 aperture, respectively.
Importantly, the “Add Me” AI feature, first introduced in the Pixel 9 series, incorporates augmented reality to place the in group shots, increasing usability without added hardware.
