Apple’s existing provides the user with pre-set options such as Vibrant, Cool, Natural, and Black & White. These presets, though, are not that controllable. Given that film-like photography is growing increasingly popular, users now desire more editing capabilities integrated into the camera itself.
Apple can extend this aesthetics with the addition of straightforward effects such as grain and greater contrast. This means that fixed white balance settings get an upgrade, too. This can enable users to achieve a timeless or artistic feel on the fly while taking the photo, no editing apps needed afterward.
