Yichao “Peak” Ji, co-founder of the start-up of artificial intelligence (AI) Manus, publicly denied any association between the project and cryptographic initiatives.
Its clarification follows the unexpected suspension of the official account of the project project only a few days after its launch.
Manus denounces crypto bonds
In a declaration published on X, Ji suggested that third-party references to cryptocurrency scams may have triggered the suspension. He firmly said that Manus had no connection with such activities.
“Manus has never been involved in cryptocurrency projects, a tokel program or blockchain initiatives,” said the post.
Ji also warned that all the projects related to cryptocurrency demanding an affiliation with the project are fraudulent. He stressed that the company intensifies legal action against imitators and urged users to report any suspicious account to avoid disinformation. It should be noted that X has since restored the official manus.
While JI’s declaration sought to eliminate false ideas, the cryptography market painted a different image. Several tokens using the name “manus” have surfaced on decentralized exchanges (DEX). Some tokens were launched the same day as the project, while others only have one day or a few hours.
However, despite the initial media threw, most of these tokens crashed shortly after their release, which raises concerns about potential scams.
