Meta, under the supervision of Mark Zuckerberg, pours huge resources in what he calls the superintendent laboratories – a new arm of the company focused on construction systems that go beyond the current AI capabilities and imitate reasoning on a human level. But the construction of such systems does not only require calculation power – it requires elite human capital. And the meta leaves no stone not returned to obtain it. In addition to Pang, Lee and Gunter, Meta also poache the main scientists of Google Deepmind, Openai and university laboratories.
