Monster Hunter Wilds Review: Is It Worth Playing?

While speaking of Monster Hunter Wilds, you can’t fail to talk about its combat system. The fight has always been at the heart of the Monster Hunter series, and this last episode brought it to a new level with refined mechanisms. Although the introduction of focus strike mechanics has increased a lot, it is undeniable that it made the game more accessible to new players.

Apart from that, this episode has new characteristics for the 14 types of weapons. This is still what Capcom did to attract the new audience that had never played these games before. Although accessibility has always been one of the development points in nature, the game has been designed again by thinking of newcomers.

In Wilds, the game minimizes downtime and allows hunters to perform tasks like cooking and crafts directly on the ground. This considerably reduces the requirement for players to return to the hub area for such activities. This transparent integration maintains the players engaged in action and exploration.

Now here’s the problem. Although these features have returned the playful game to players, the removal of certain complexities has triggered arguments from the players’ base, where hardcore fans are not satisfied with these. The ease of location and the fight against monsters, according to them, goes against the main theory of the Monster Hunter series.
