MoonPay receives NY BitLicense approval

The cryptocurrency payment company Moonpay said that it would be able to offer its service to users in the 50 US states after receiving license approval in New York.

In a notice of June 4, Moonpay said that the New York State Financial Services Department (NYDFS) had granted its American company a Bitlicense and a silver issuer license. The addition of The Bitlidense makes Moonpay one of the 35 digital currency companies capable of operating in New York.

“With the approval of our Bitlicense and Silver issues in New York, Moonpay now holds the Golden Regulatory battery for the crypto in the United States, allowing us to serve customers directly in each state without gaps,” said the co-founder and CEO of Moonpay, Ivan Soto-Wright.
