Nobitex Hackers leak Source Code after $100M Crypto Hack
The hackers behind an $ 100 million feat in Iranian cryptocurrency Nobitex has published the full source code of the platform, placing the remaining user assets.
Nobitex Exchange was hacked Wednesday for at least $ 100 million in cryptocurrencies by a pro-Israeli group called “Gonjeshke Darande”, which claimed the responsibility of the attack.
In the last turn of events, the group said it had made its doors to its previous threat to flee the code and internal exchange files.
“Time’s up – Complete source code linked below. The assets left in Nobitex are now completely out,” wrote Gonjeshke Darande in a post X on Thursday.
The detailed thread X safety measures, including its confidentiality parameters, cold blockchain, the list of servers and a zip file containing the complete source of the Nobitex exchange.
The source code was disclosed one day after the group took responsibility for the feat, promising to release the source code of exchange and internal files within 24 hours.

The pirates claimed to have targeted the exchange due to its alleged ties with the Iranian government and its role in the financing of activities that violate international sanctions.
However, the portfolio addresses used for the feat suggest that it was a “political statement rather than a typical financial motivation flight,” said the security company of the blockchain security company, Hacken.
“On the EVM, the assets of more than 20 tokens were sent to clean burner addresses. The only potential partial recovery could occur if the USDT reissues the $ 55 million in stolen stables,” he said.

Nobitex said Thursday that no additional financial loss had occurred and that it expects to start restoring the services within five days. However, the exchange noted that internet disruptions due to the current national crisis slowed down progress.
The hack occurred on the fifth day of the renewed conflict between Israel and Iran.
The two countries have exchanged strategic missile strikes since June 13, when Israel has launched several strikes on targets in Iran, marking its greatest attack on the country since the Iranian-Iraq war in the 1980s.

The hackers confirmed that the majority of stolen funds had been burned or permanently removed from traffic.

Nobitex users are now awaiting a public video declaration from the CEO Amir Rad, which should describe the recovery of the platform and the next steps.
In response to hacking, the Central Bank of Iran would have imposed a curfew on the exchanges of interior cryptography, limiting operating hours at 10:00 am and 8:00 pm, according to several reports cited by Chainalysis.
