PayPal World service will ensure complete interoperability between PayPal and regional . Major collaborators include National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI), Mercado Pago of Brazil, Tenpay Global of China (which operates WeChat Pay), and Venmo.
Being integrated with the NPCI UPI partnership, PayPal will allow Indian users to directly pay global merchants through UPI-linked applications. This means that users can now perform international transactions without being dependent on their cards or banking details, making the entire process simpler.
While UPI currently commands about 85% of all retail digital payments in India, it is now stepping onto the global stage through this integration.

India has already begun discussions with other nations across Africa and South America to adopt similar models based on UPI’s success. This partnership places at the center of global fintech evolution.
