Protoclone, the Robot That Bleeds

Humanoid robotics is one of the most difficult, but the revelation of the protoclone marks significant. On February 19, a revealed a clone of a facial robot moved without face and legs revealed. This robot design closely reproduces human structure, movement and psychology. It seems that it has more than 1,000 artificial muscles and 500 sensors to provide it more than 200 degrees of freedom. This style of construction of the robot allows the robot to carry out a wide range of movements with remarkable fluidity and precision.
The video of the trailer is full of dark background music to create a terrifying atmosphere everywhere. Although the initial movement of Protoclone is not frightening, the team has announced that protoclone is equipped with a vascular system that circulates the liquids throughout the body. Therefore, this robot will bleed like a human being when its synthetic skin is pierced.
This feature is a bit disturbing. It can never seem good to see a synthetic robot bleeding like a human. However, this perfectly corresponds to the objective of the company, which was to make a robot as precise as possible. The CEO and co-founder of Clone Robotics, Dhanush Radhakrishna, stressed this aspect by declaring: “You can stab it with a fork and he will bleed.”
