SEC Delays Lawsuit Announcement Until August 7? Ex-SEC Lawyer Clarifies

After four long years of legal battles, the fight between Ripple and the SEC finally stopped. The legal confrontation that drew the attention of the cryptographic community and financial regulators seems to be finished, but certain persistent questions remain. Despite a declaration by the CEO of Ripple Brad Garlinghouse, XRP supporters are still waiting for official confirmation of the SEC itself.
In the midst of speculation, a document recently distributed online saying that the SEC will not make an official announcement on the trial before August 7. However, the former dry lawyer Marc Fagel quickly rejected the document, declaring: “It is stupid and false. You are welcome!” Others pointed out that the document in question came from last summer, still feeding doubts about its validity.
Last week, the SEC decided to delete its call without any condition. In return, Ripple agreed to drop his cross tip. As part of the regulations, the SEC will retain $ 50 million in the fine of $ 125 million, which is already held in an entire interest in interest. The remaining balance will be returned to Ripple.
In addition, the SEC should ask the court to raise the standard injunction which was imposed earlier at the request of the SEC. However, this process is not immediate. Before the injunction can be lifted, the dry must first vote on the decision, then Judge Torres must be invited to raise it. This will probably happen in the coming weeks,
All this is always subject to a vote of the Commission, the drafting of end documents and the usual legal processes.
