Sold Out Snoop Dogg Telegram NFT Drop Generates $12 Million

The American rapper, Snoop Dogg, sold a collection of nearly a million non -buttons (NFTS) on Telegram in 30 minutes on Wednesday, apparently defying the idea that the NFT industry is “dead”.

The new collection of digital gifts from Snoop Dogg of approximately 996,000 non -spoiled tokens (NFTS) fed by the Ton Blockchain is “inspired by the emblematic style of Snoop” and generated $ 12 million in sales, said Telegram Pavel Durov in a post.

“The blockchain test and the secondary market will be put online in 21 days. It will be wild,” he added.

The tokens of the collection included a vintage car, loot bags, a digital dog, objects related to marijuana and a mixture of other articles and symbols. Telegrams gifts are animated images that can be displayed on a profile or converted into currencies in the application of the social platform called stars.

Snoop Dogg drops the new rhythm with the NFT collection

Snoop Dogg has also published a new song entitled “Gifts” and a video clip presenting all the collectibles available.

Social media and YouTube users have called Snoop’s collaboration with Telegram “Legendary”, and others have seen the collection sell as a bull sign for NFTS, which has had difficulties with volumes and lukewarm sales this year.

In April, Cointelegraph said that NFT volumes plunged 61% in the first quarter from 2025 to 1.5 billion dollars, compared to $ 4.1 billion a year ago.

In the past 30 days, sales volume has plunged from 41% to more than $ 403 million, according to Cryptoslam data, as well as more than 55% of transactions.

The Snoop Dogg collection could trigger the NFT rally

An X user published under the Zenith handle, who works as NFT in Ton, said in an X Post Wednesday that original telegram gifts are not new and have existed since at least January, when a collection called “plush peel” has dropped.

However, they speculate the positive reaction to the Snoop Dogg collection “could be the beginning of a new NFT story”, although they also said “technically, that could not mean anything”.

“Telegrams gifts have the most unique utility and it is the possibility of carrying them on your telegram profile,” said Zenith.

“I would not be surprised if other famous brands or IPS Web3 did not want to launch gifts too! Now, the question does not know honestly, but I like to speculate,” they added.

Snoop Dogg is an old hand in the NFT space

Snoop Dogg was active in the NFT space since the tokens gained dominant popularity in 2021.
