The S&P Africa Sovereign Bond Index ex Tanzania and ex South Africa 15% Capped Bond tracks the performance of local currency denominated sovereign debt publicly issued by African governments in their domestic markets, excluding Tanzania and South Africa. During the monthly rebalancing process, total weight by country is calculated and if any country’s weight exceeds 15%, that excess weight is distributed pro-rata to the remaining countries’ index constituents.
