Trump Issues Grave Warning to Iran After Israeli Strikes

President Donald Trump issued a striking warning to Iran, urging the country to accept a nuclear agreement to avoid other “planned attacks”, quoting that “there has already been a great death and destruction, but there is still time to end this massacre …”.

Friday morning, Trump spoke out via his social media platform, Truth social, reacting to the news that Israel had launched a night attack against Iran, targeting several nuclear and military sites.

By referring to the ongoing negotiations on the Iranian nuclear program, Trump said that he had given Iran a chance to conclude an agreement.

“I told them, with the strongest words, to” do “, but no matter how much they tried, no matter their proximity, they just couldn’t do it,” said Trump. “Some Iranian livers have spoken courageously, but they didn’t know what was going to happen. They are all dead now, and that will only get worse.”

Trump added that Iran has been told how much the best and deadliest military equipment in the world, by far, and that Israel has a lot, with much more to come. And they know how to use it. “”

“Iran must conclude an agreement, before it left, and save what was once known as the Iranian Empire. No more death, more destruction, do it, before it is too late. ” Trump warned.

The United States was definitely not involved in military action overnight, as confirmed by a statement from the Secretary of State Marco Rubio, in which it urged Iran not to target the United States

“Tonight, Israel has taken unilateral measures against Iran. We are not involved in strikes against Iran and our absolute priority is to protect American forces in the region. Israel advised us that this action was necessary for its self -defense,” said Marco, in a statement shared by the White House shortly after the initial strikes. “President Trump and the administration have taken all the necessary measures to protect our forces and stay in close contact with our regional partners. Let me be clear: Iran should not target American interests or staff. ”

A number of senior military officials and nuclear scientists have been killed by Israeli strikes on Iran, with Ayatollah Ali Khamenei producing reprisals, saying that Israel “should anticipate a severe punishment” and “has prepared for itself a bitter and painful spell, which will certainly be seen”.

The Israeli Defense Forces (FRI) announced “the preemptive and precise offensive” in a statement at the early hours of Friday morning, local time.

“Iran is closer than ever to obtaining a nuclear weapon. The weapons of mass destruction in the hands of the Iranian regime are an existential threat to the State of Israel and for the world in general,” the press release said. “The State of Israel has no choice but to fulfill the obligation to act to defend its citizens.”

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said that strikes, which were part of Operation Rising Lion, “will continue for as many days as it would be to suppress this threat”.

Iran has since responded with around 100 drone strikes on Israel, Jordan confirming that drones have also entered its airspace.

Before that, the talks between the United States and Israel seemed to be heading in a more positive direction after Ali Shamkhani – Ayatollah Khamenei -advisor – said in May that Iran was willing to accept an agreement subject to the conditions.

Discussions were still underway at the beginning of June. Iran rejected an American proposal and offered a counter-offer on June 9. The next day, Iranian legislators accused the United States of transforming negotiation talks into a trap.

“The United States is not at all serious in negotiations. It set the objective of talks as imposing its requests and has adopted offensive positions which are diametrically opposed to the inalienable rights of the Iranians,” Iranian legislators said in a statement.
