Suspected French crypto kidnappings leader arrested in Morocco
A man accused of being one of the brains behind a series of recent kidnappings in France to access the crypto was arrested in Morocco.
At the request of the French authorities, the national police and intelligence services of Morocco arrested Badiss Mohamed Amide Bajjou – a 24 -year -old French man who would have been found in possession of several blade weapons and several mobile phones.
The French Minister of Justice, Gérald Darmanin, praised the arrest in a post of June 4 after the French media Le Parisi pointed out the arrest.
“I sincerely thank Morocco for this arrest, which demonstrates the excellent judicial cooperation between our two countries, in particular against organized crime,” said Darmanin.
Interpol published a red opinion for the arrest of Bajjou in 2023, alleging that it was linked to other kidnappings and criminal activities.
Two crypto kidnappings and a failed attempt
The last incident occurred in broad daylight on May 13, when several attackers would have tried to kidnap the girl and grandson of Pierre Noizat, CEO of the French crypto platform Paymium.
A video of the alleged attack filmed by passers -by shows that the daughter of Noizat pushing the masked men with the help of passers -by, forcing them to return to a nearby waiting van, where they fled the scene.

On May 3, the Paris police released the father of a cryptographic entrepreneur who was detained for several days in connection with an abduction plot of 7 million euros ($ 7.8 million).

A few months earlier, in January, the co-founder of the Crypto Wallet Ledger portfolio, David Balland, was removed from his home in the center of France in the first hours of January 21 and was selected in captivity until a police operation on the night of January 22.
The French lawsuits would have strengthened the security of the leaders of Crypto and their families to fight against the wave of kidnappings linked to the crypto.
Measures include priority access to police emergency lines, home security assessments and French security forces safety briefings to ensure that best practices are followed.
