BlockDAG achieved significant progress in its technical development during 2024, starting with the Alpha Testnet in September. This phase, with around 100 nodes, served as a testing ground, uncovering challenges and providing insights to improve the system.
In 2025, the upcoming Beta Testnet aims to simulate mainnet operations, including large-scale node setups, miner integrations, and management features. October marked the completion of Phase 1, finalizing the DAG-based core blockchain. While BlockDAG is technically ready to launch, efforts are focused on adding features and meeting presale targets.
