Ripple Co-Founder Lost $150 Million in XRP to LastPass Hackers

Zachxbt revealed today that the co-founder of Ripple Chris Larsen had lost $ 150 million in XRP in January. The flight was linked to the infamous violation of the 2022 hobby.
The discovery came from an American file to apply the law today. Although this happened in January, hacking was not publicly disclosed.
Zachxbt discovers an XRP hack
Zachxbt, one of the most famous detectives in the cryptographic industry, investigates several types of crimes. He pursues major criminals such as the Lazare group and helps victims recover funds, but he can also reveal uncomfortable truths on projects.
Last month, Zachxbt resigned most of the OPSEC staff after an investigation, and today he turned his attention to Ripple.
“A confiscation complaint filed yesterday by the American police forces revealed that the cause of the hacking of $ 150 million in the co-founder of Ripple Chris Larsen of the portfolio in January 2024 was the result of the storage of private keys in Lastpass (manager of passwords which was hacked in 2022.) until this point, Chris Larsen had not publicly disclosed the cause of Theft, “he said at this telegram point.
This particular hack has targeted the private XRP portfolio of Larsen. It seems that the co-founder of Ripple stored its private wallet keys on the LastPass password management software.
However, Lastpass was violated in 2022, and the details of the Larsen portfolio, as well as hundreds of users, were exposed. At that time, it was estimated that around 35 million dollars in crypto had been stolen from 150 victims. After today’s discovery, the amount was apparently much more important.
Naturally, the Ripple XRP token price has not responded well to the allegations of Zachxbt. Its price has already been somewhat erratic, lowering 20% after the announcement of Trump’s crypto reserve.
Earlier this morning, XRP cautiously planned a price rebound, but it dropped by more than 7% after the telegram post. This could largely be due to the underlying macroeconomic conditions of the market.

The CEO of Ripple, Chris Larsen, has not responded directly to the investigation, and Zachxbt has not yet made additional statements. Larsen’s social media has not been active since October 2024, when he published content linked to the elections.
Meanwhile, Lastpass is still advertising active from its services on social networks, and Zachxbt called the company with Harsh invective.
“Did your team forgot that Lastpass was raped in 2022, which led to 9 cryptographic flight figures?” Let us not forget that your team has long hid the extent of the attack and many victims confirmed by many victims. Now … even the application of the law is publicly agreed that you are likely to blame. Not a single person should use Lastpass if they want a secure password manager, “he said.
