Coca-Cola to Launch New Trump-Approved Version of Drink

Coca-Cola announced that it would introduce a version of cane sugar from its main soda product on the American market this fall, confirming the preventive announcement of President Donald Trump made a few days earlier.
The new Coca-Cola offer will be available in the United States alongside the emblematic version, which uses corn syrup with high fructose as sweetening and will remain unchanged. (Diet and Coke Zero products use aspartame and other artificial sweeteners.)
The Soda company said that the upcoming availability of the Cane Sugar product was part of its “innovation program in progress”.
“This addition is designed to complete the solid basic portfolio of the company and offer more choices through occasions and preferences,” said Coca-Cola on Tuesday in its second quarterly update of the year.
The president and chief executive officer of the company James Quincey developed further on a call conference with investors, during which he referred to the recent comments from Trump and praised his interest in the issue. “We appreciate the president’s enthusiasm for our Coca-Cola brand,” he said. “We are certainly trying to use the entire tool kit of the sweetening options available.”

Trump, who would have a button at his office in the oval office to ask for Diet Coke, had preventively announced the change of ingredient on July 16.
“I spoke in Coca-Cola about the use of Real Cane Sugar in Coke in the United States, and they agreed to do so. It will be a very good decision by them. You will see. It is simply better,” he said on Truth Social.
Coca-Cola produced in Mexico contains cane sugar. It is sold in the United States and is widely called “Mexican coke” and is known for its presentation of a long-collar glass bottle. Cane sugar is also used in Coca-Cola produced in other countries in the rest of the world.
The United States began to import the Mexican version of the drink in 2005, and some in the United States are preferred to the United States.
Corn syrup has been used in the production of Coca-Cola in the United States since 1984, when the Soda Society has announced a passage from traditional sugar cane and sugar beet. Analysts suggested that the change was due to the reduction in the costs of the corn alternative and the decline of the sugar market as artificial sweeteners are becoming more and more popular.
While corn syrup has been traditionally produced more than other sweeteners in the United States, cane and beet sugar has become more easily available for American consumers over the past decade.

During the weekend, Kennedy celebrated the Steak restaurant chain ‘N Shake after announcing that it would begin to offer Coca-Cola with real cane sugar instead of high-fructose corn syrup. “Maha wins,” said Kennedy about news.
However, some nutritionists are not convinced that the switch will make too much difference, if applicable.
“For all practical purposes, they are the same. I find that the change is hilariously nutritionally,” said Associated Press, nutritionist and food studies at New York University last week at New York University. “They have the same taste. They have the same number of calories. They do exactly the same things in the body. Everyone would be healthy by eating less.”
