Trump Family’s World Liberty Financial Teases WLFI Token News

Trump World Liberty Financial (WLF )’s Defi Project project reported plans to make its WLFI token transferable, responding to investors’ demand for a more accessible utility.

Currently, WLFI cannot be purchased or sold on exchanges and is locked in user wallets. Making it transferable would allow holders to send, exchange or potentially list the token on the markets, which allows peers transfers and possibly public sales for the first time.

Will the WLFI token finally accessible to the public?

The announcement comes after months of criticism on the current token structure. The WLFI has so far been non -traditional, operating only as an instrument of governance within the WLF ecosystem.

Although no calendar or technical details have been provided, the activation of transfers could open the door to future exchanges or for peer negotiations. This would mark a significant change in the way the token is used and perceived.

WLF previously sold more than 25 billion WLFI tokens through two fundraising towers, raising $ 550 million. Investors – many of which understand political and institutional actors – fluently hold chips without liquidity of the secondary market.

However, transferability could raise regulatory concerns. This is particularly given WLFI’s ties with the Trump family and the meticulous examination on token sales by politically affiliated entities.

At the same time, making the WLFI transferable could provide additional transparency to discover the prices of the token and potentially create a wider demand. In other words, if the lists on decentralized or centralized exchanges follow.

For the moment, WLF has not confirmed when or how the change will be implemented. Until then, WLFI remains a only governance without open market negotiation functionality.
