Trump Says He Won’t ‘Fire People’ Over Signal Messages

WIs Palm Beach, Florida – President Donald Trump has given himself his clearest commitment to dismiss anyone on an embarrassing accidental leak in his administration’s plans for an air strike against the Houthis in Yemen.
“I do not dismiss people because of false news and because of hunts with witches,” said Trump in an interview with Kristen Welker from NBC News.
He also said that he had confidence in Mike Waltz, his national security advisor, and Pete Hegseth, his Pentagon chief.
Waltz inadvertently added Jeffrey Goldberg, the editor -in -chief of Atlantic magazine, to a group text using the signal encryption service where senior officials discussed plans to attack the Houthis.
During the cat, Hegseth included details on how the strike would take place before it takes place.
Subsequently, the Atlantic published an article on internal exchange, shocking the national security establishment.
Trump is impatient to avoid repeating part of the turnover that characterized his first mandate. Mike Flynn, his first national security advisor, was expelled after only a few weeks at the start of the investigation in Russia. He also showed resistance to the inclination of external pressure, especially if it comes from the media.
When asked if there were conversations on Waltz dismissal, Trump insisted: “I have never heard that. And no one else makes this decision except me, and I never heard it.”
