Tether’s US Treasury holdings approach $ 120 billion
Tether has published its T1 2025 report, showing solid financial results despite a rocky quarter for the cryptography market. In a press release today, Stablecoin announced that it had made more than a billion dollars in operating profits during the first quarter. Its investments in American Treasurys also reached nearly $ 120 billion, the highest in its history. These figures, confirmed by the world accounting office BDO, show increased domination of Tether.
Tether’s USDT remains the largest stable to support the US dollar in the world, with around $ 150 billion in traffic. The company regularly publishes quarterly reports showing the reservations that support USDT.

TETHER said that its nearly $ 120 billion in exposure to the US Treasury include both direct investments and indirect assets through monetary market funds and reverse redemption agreements. Direct investments in treasureals represented around $ 99 billion at the end of the first quarter.
The attachment achieved more than a billion dollars in profits in the first quarter of 2025, compared to $ 6 billion in the previous quarter. The previous jump was mainly due to the gains of bitcoin and gold. This time, most of the profits came from stable yields on the American treasury, gold helping to balance the volatility of the cryptography market.
TETHER maintains the operational force in the middle of the lower profits
As of March 31, 2025, Tether said about $ 149.3 billion in total assets and $ 143.7 billion in liabilities, leaving about $ 5.6 billion in additional reserves. It is a little less than the 7 billion dollars stamp compared to the previous quarter, but still shows strong financial management. The small decline could be due to changing assets and market changes, not a sign of weakness.
Tether added $ 7 billion in new USD ₮ during the quarter, which is less than 23 billion dollars issued in the fourth quarter of 2024. However, active user portfolios increased by 46 million, an increase of 13%, showing confidence and continuous adoption.
Almost all of Tether’s liabilities are linked to his emitted tokens, sticking to his fully sustained model. Most of the reserves are held in cash or similar active ingredients, the others in gold, bitcoin and business investments that do not directly support tokens.
Tether always invests massively in different fields. The company said it had put more than $ 2 billion in long -term projects in areas such as renewable energies, artificial intelligence, peer communication and data infrastructure.
Tether also mentioned that the first quarter was his first quarter under government regulations in Salvador, where he recently created his new headquarters.
