We Left Typewriters for Microsoft Word/PCs, Now, Which AI Tool is Your “MS Word” at Work?

In 2025, reposition your career or business with AI (artificial intelligence). For what? In a Logic and Philosophy course (GST 103) as an undergraduate at the Federal University of Technology, Owerri (FUTO), Nigeria, my professor explained one of the most fundamental postulations of Pythagoras: the universe is made up of numbers. Thales, Heraclitus and other philosophers had different explanations, ranging from water to fire. But Pythagoras’ explanation was supreme.
That lecture that day reminded me of what happened in my first high school physics class, when Mr. Aham introduced us to the study of matter in relation to energy, as subset of natural philosophy, and linking all of this to mathematics, the beautiful science. of numbers. Simply, logic rules the world and all knowledge converges into philosophy, which means that if you get a PhD in chemistry, you simply master logic and philosophy (the title of the doctorate) in chemistry! So, at the peak of knowledge, it’s all about philosophy.
If we connect the Pythagorean postulate and what AI (artificial intelligence) does today, we can see that AI helps us better understand our world, because if the world is made up of numbers, that means that the matter of man and woman gives meaning to the numbers.

Hello, this is computing and now with intelligence. Isn’t that exciting? It has the promise of changing the world, because computing, processing, etc. have evolved from the era of the abacus, the slide rule, the difference engine, etc., to today AI.
AI will change the world, and as the Igbo nation says “uwa bu ahia” [the world is a marketplace]this implies that AI will change the market. In other words, AI will change careers and businesses. But AI isn’t just about coding: think about how workers moved from typewriters to Microsoft Word and how the workplace is expected to know how to use word compression tools like Microsoft Word. Yes, understanding how to use specific AI tools for your job will be as important as using Word and Excel at work. If you have no knowledge of it, it can be considered a weakness.
In the first quarter of 2025, benefit from an AI tool that will help you improve your productivity. Don’t delay, because by the second quarter, companies will subtly introduce these as job requirements.

AI competence is the universal blue-collar skill of the 21st century worker and employers, seeking productivity, will expect you to be ready.
