What Trump has just written is what I called the Conglomerates Tax as described in my book – the Dangote system. All industrialized taxes tax nations where they operate because only these companies have the capacity to deal with the major challenges that governments want to resolve but incapable. And as these companies run, governments send them goodies via subsidies. When people complain of Dangote in Nigeria, you complain because Nigeria does not have many dangotes. Ideally, we should have 20 Dangotes, and if we do it, no one will care very much.
