Yellowjackets Reveals the Pit Girl

WArneing: This message contains spoilers for the final of season 3 of Yellow Jackets.
Since the very first episode of Yellow Jackets In November 2021, the fans both argued and impatiently feared that the queen of the woods and her masked followers tracked up and ate on the pilot’s opening scene.
Now, more than three years later, the final of season 3 finally revealed the identity of the so-called “Pit Girl”. It was a long trip to get to this point for the teenage girls stuck in the desert, who have so far avoided making a meal from a teammate who was not already dead (Rip Jackie) by dinner on their male companions, alias Javi and the coach Ben, instead. Only Travis has been spared (and we already know that he returns home).
But, during the last episodes, a number of yellow Jacques seem to be even more deeply in a volatile mental state fueled by what is either a collective psychosis or supernatural forces. In episode 8, although it was offered to security of security by the wild guide Kodiak (Joel Mchale), who came across the team while guiding a pair of hikers who were looking for frogs, Lottie (Courtney Eaton), Taissa (Jasmin Savoy Brown) and Shauna (Sophie NĂ©lisse) united together to force the whole team. Then, when a contingent led by Natalie (Sophie Thatcher) tried to rebel in episode 9, it led to hiker Hannah (Ashley Sutton) Kodi stabbing through the eye to save himself from Shauna’s anger.
In the final, all of this culminates to Shauna, the new team leader, putting pressure on girls to accept another hunt in which their prey will be decided by a random draw.
Who is Pit Girl?
Earlier in the season, Akilah (Nia Songaya) had the vision of finding all their dead. In the final, the vision seems to be realized when Akilah finds the body of all the animals it raised with love. (However, a subsequent conversation between Akilah and Lottie reveals that Kitilah herself killed the animals in order to convince the rest of the girls they had to hunt to appease the desert.)
After being influenced by Lottie and Shauna, the Jaques of Yellow actually decide that they should sacrifice one of their own in order to return to the good graces of wilderness and, according to what has become a dark tradition, they will use a card game to decide who will be their prey. Tai and Van (Liv Hewson) are trying to fuck the traction of the card so that the newcomer Hannah ends up with the queen of a deadly heart, but Shauna is accompanied by their ploy and disturbs the order of the circle. It follows that husband (Alexa Barajas) finally slips the deadly draw. Shauna then places Jackie’s heart necklace around the husband’s neck and begins to count.
The rest of the girls put on their furs and their makeshift masks and begins hunting. Once she has gained distances, husband tries to avoid being spotted by undressing her jacket and her bright colored pants (a decision that also costs her shoes), leaving her only in a night shirt that feels very familiar – that’s what The Pit Girl was carrying in the pilot at her death.
Not everyone wants husband to be captured. The generation (Vanessa Prasad) tries to divert Taissa from the prosecution in order to give her friend a better chance of survival. But in the end, it does not matter, because husband tumbles once again into the same pit in which she fell earlier in the season when she fought her knee. Except that this time, the bottom of the pit was lined with sharp stakes (by Travis, in the previous episode, in an unsuccessful attempt to kill Lottie). Husband is impaled and dies.
The celebration scene that we originally saw in the pilot then takes place, with Shauna presiding over the ceremony in her Queen Antler costume – that we now know that she has scared to be decorated with husband’s hair locks.
What it means for Yellow Jackets
We now know who is Pit Girl, but the end of the final reveals that there is more in history. Fortunately for girls who still want to go home, hikers who came across the yellow Jackets had a broken satellite phone with them that Misty (Samantha Hanratty), Natalie and Van have repaired using a piece of connection of the transponder of their crushed plane (which is deliberately destroyed in season 1).
During the hunt, Natalie eventually ends with Hannah, Misty and Van to move away from an increasingly paranoid shauna and try to contact someone who can help them. While the girls attack husband, Natalie moves away from the camp with the repaired phone.
After the party, Shauna notes that something happens when Natalie is strangely silent. She tears the Natalie mask to note that it is not at all natalia, but Hannah. Natalie managed to run away and traveled a snowy mountain, desperately trying to get a telephone signal. The closing scene of the final shows it in contact with a mysterious voice on the radio which says: “Yes, I can hear you.”
They will go home, but given Shauna’s rage to be deceived, it certainly does not seem that the backtrack will be easy.
