Nasdaq Files with SEC to Enable Stock Tokenization and Blockchain Listings

The NASDAQ submitted an official deposit to the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) of the United States to allow the registration and the trade of tokenized shares on its scholarship. This decision aims to introduce blockchain technology on the traditional stock market, allowing investors to exchange digital versions based on blockchain of the company’s shares. If it is approved, it would be a major step towards the integration of cryptographic innovation into established financial markets, offering greater accessibility, liquidity and transparency for investors.
